Our educators and administrators are the backbone of everything we do at Les Petits Francophones. We couldn't be here without them.
The majority of our team is Francophone and most are multi-lingual adding a richly diverse mosaic to the school and its celebrated diversity.
Rita Wilson, Head of School
Rita joined LPF Team in June 2017. She moved to the US about nine years ago from Cote D’Ivoire, West Africa, as an immigrant. Although she spoke French and five other languages, she did not speak any English whatsoever when she arrived here in the U.S. She holds a BA in Early Childhood Education from Cal State University. Prior to working for Les Petits francophones, Rita worked in more than 5 schools around the Bay Area through a staffing agency as a substitute teacher and a teacher’s aide. Rita is always excited and honored to be a part of LPF family. She feels she not only work with her students with pressing on aspect of nurturing, educating through scaffolding/guidance; she also represents a bridge between the school, and her student’s family in a collaborative effort to sharing and cultivating positive values to the children in all aspects of their development; physical, social emotional and cognitive. In March 2019, Rita was promoted to School Director and in July 2020 was promoted to Head of School.
Malika Mouzni, Teacher
Malika joined the LPF Team in June 2018. Prior to joining our team, Malika worked at Head Start, she completed her 12 units in Early Childhood Education in December 2018. She grew up in Tizi-Ouzou, Algeria, and moved to the US in 2009. She earned a Medical Assistant Degree from SF City College in 2017. Malika has been teaching our 2-3 years old Petits Francophones since starting with us. In September 2020, Malika has been leading our 3-4 years old class.
Laurence Young, Teacher
Laurence joined LPF in July 2019. She is originally from Brittany, France. I currently live in Dublin, CA. Laurence worked as a French Teacher in Raleigh, NC and over the last three years has been working diligently towards her AA in Early Childhood Education. She has been living in the US for 18 years. She previously lived in Arizona and North Carolina. She is married and has two daughters. She likes spending time with her husband and daughters, playing board games, going to the movies, and especially exploring local areas. She enjoys reading historic based fiction, as well as non-fictional accounts of France’s history. She spent one year leading our 3-4 years old class and since September 2020, she has been leading
Chunru Wen, Teacher and Acting Director
Chunru joined LPF in January 2018. She has more 18 years of experience in preschool settings. Prior to joining LPF, she worked at bilingual preschool and Montessori preschool. She is currently studying towards her AA in Childhood Development, as well as additional Montesorri classes in order to become Montesorri certified. She really enjoys educating and taking care of children, as well as observing their learning , growing and exploring. She believes that, with guidance, patient and encouragement from the parents and teachers, children will reach the most fully development and become a unique talent in the future.
Chantal Doboue, Teacher
Chantal joined Les Petits Francophones in February 2020. She is originally from Ivory Coast. She is a fully qualified early childhood educator and is also trained in Special Education. She has been working with Head Start Oakland for the last 7 years. Upon joining our team, Chantal told us that teaching in a French speaking environment is a dream come true.

Charlotte , Adminstrative Assistant / Teacher Aide
