Our Philosophy

Les Petits Francophones is a non-profit French Immersion preschool committed to early childhood education.  Our mission is to provide a safe and prosperous environment for the whole child; socially, emotionally, physically, and cognitively.  Our primary focus is placed on the needs of children (ages 2-5 years) and their family.  LPF’s goal is to provide a stimulating and educational experience through developmentally appropriate practices.

Les Petits Francophones' curriculum recognizes Howard Gardner's Multiple Intelligences theory known as learning styles:

  • linguistic

  • logical/mathematical

  • spatial/visual

  • music/auditory

  • kinesthetic

  • interpersonal

  • intra-personal

  • naturalistic

Les Petits Francophones understands that children learn and develop at their own pace using individual learning styles. Our curriculum offers a balance of child initiated activities as well as teacher lead activities to allow each child to prosper academically and developmentally using his or her preferred styles.

Les Petits Francophones’ highly qualified, knowledgeable, and creative teachers partner with you, as parents, in guiding your child to grow and develop to their full potential.

Les Petits Francophones is an equal opportunity school and does not discriminate on the basis of race, gender, or ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, scholarship, and other school administered programs.  We strongly encourage members of minority groups to apply.

Teachers and children are partners in the learning process.

Parent Testimonials

"It has been my dream for my child to learn a second language during her critical preschool years. I consider this an opportunity of a lifetime that I wish I had. I didn't start languages until high school. My daughter took to the teachers, class, and environment immediately. The teachers create a perfect balance between a loving environment and a structured classroom".

-Ingrid S.

"As non-native French speakers, we were skeptical that our daughter would become fluent just by attending bi-lingual preschool.  But after one year at LPF, there was a clear moment when she switched from speaking mostly English to mostly French.  It was amazing to see just how much she was absorbing everyday at LPF".

- Erika L.

"LPF is an intimate, nurturing french immersion program that builds confidence and respect of both language and culture.  Having lost both my parents over 2 years ago, I was searching for an institution that would carry forward the love and attention my parents provided to my daughter and I found it at LPF.  I have seen incredible growth socially and academically in all the children, not just my own.  We have been a part of LPF's family for over 2 years, with this year being our last, and I am TRULY grateful to all the teachers, director, and families.  LPF, vous êtes incroyable et nous n'oublierons jamais votre amour!"
